Just like the surprise release of the Halo Infinite multiplayer beta earlier this month, the Shock Rifle took gamers by storm. In this case, literally. The weapon is a lot more powerful than many people expected, and it’s quickly becoming one of the most popular guns in the game. It’s popular to the point where it’s even starting to surpass the likes of Heatwave. Keep reading to find out how to get the most out of this amazing weapon.
How to Use the Shock Rifle in Halo Infinite
The Shock Rifle is a long-range weapon that can rival even the S7 Sniper in terms of stopping power. The weapon can take out Spartans with a single shot to the head or three shots to the body. But while the rifle offers excellent damage, the same cannot be said about its rate of fire and ammo capacity.
The Shock Rifle can only hold 12 rounds, but you’ll need to wait a second for the weapon to recharge between shots. In other words, good timing and accuracy are key here. You likely won’t have a lot of success with this weapon if you’re new to Halo Infinite, but the Shock Rifle can be absolutely devastating in the hands of a seasoned player.
One of the things that stands out the most about this gun is its ability to hit multiple targets. The Shock Rifle fires bolts of electricity that can jump from your target to additional nearby players, provided they are close to one another.
Another noteworthy feature of the Shock Rifle is its ability to stun vehicles. You’ll need to hit vehicles at least two times with the rifle to stop them dead in their tracks. The effect only lasts a few seconds and doesn’t disable weapons but it can still come in handy in many situations.
