Hitman 3 Release Date - When does it launch?

Agent 47 is soon to return. After several Hitman 3 teaser trailers and the announcement of VR support, the game has finally been given a proper release date. Even better, those who opt for a digital version of the game will be able to upgrade to next-gen consoles without charge. Here’s when the Hitman 3 launch date is planned and more details about pre-order availability and optional bundles.

What is the Hitman 3 release date?

IO Interactive has confirmed the Hitman 3 release date for January 20, 2021. The game will release for PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Google Stadia, and PC through the Epic Games Store.

The development team at IO has also confirmed the possibility of next-gen upgrades. Anyone who buys Hitman 3 in a digital format for PS4 or Xbox One will be eligible to upgrade the game for next-gen consoles for free.

Hitman 3 is currently available for pre-order on the IO Interactive website. Two different versions of the game are available: The Standard Edition and the Deluxe Edition. The Standard Edition costs $60, and includes the Trinity Pack pre-order bonus containing a white, red, and black suit for Agent 47.

Hitman 3 special edition bundles

The Deluxe Edition is much more robust. It includes the aforementioned Trinity Pack, a digital soundtrack, director commentary mission introductions, and The World of Hitman digital book. This bundle also includes a selection of deluxe suits and items as well as deluxe Escalation Contracts. The Deluxe Edition of Hitman 3 will cost $80.

There’s one last piece of good news. Hitman 3 will be compatible with all of the levels from both Hitman 2016 and Hitman 2. That means you’ll be able to enjoy everything from the last two games in the newest release. You still need to have purchased the previous levels, but if you have, you’ll be able to play around 20 stages in the final part of the World of Assassination trilogy.
