It’s fall, which means Halloween is right around the corner. What better time to prep for some Halloween games with some of our favorite horror games?

Today, we’re going to go over a list of some of our favorite horror games out now while going over the ones we’re looking forward to the most. Grab a spiced apple cider, bundle up under the blankets, and turn the lights off.

his game will have you questioning what it is to be human by the end. It is my personal choice in this genre as one of the scariest games out there.

Someone, or something, is stalking the counselors, and it’s up to you to keep as many of them alive at the end as you can. Take control of each character multiple times to uncover the dark secret of the Quarry, and survive the night until help arrives.

Naturally, you are the latest victim to listen to its theme. In a race against time, you must uncover the origin of the music box and avoid what lurks in the shadows.

Fans of classic survival horror (Resident Evil, Silent Hill) will love this modern-day spin on the franchise. Solve puzzles, run from the being in the shadows, and find a way to end this curse or join its chorus.

Set 300 Years in the future, The Callisto Protocol will give the audience huge dead space vibes. Players must face their fears and traverse a huge Lunar prison (Black Iron Prison) overrun by monsters and infected humans. Uncover the truth of what happened to this base to give humanity a chance to survive beyond the stars.

Fans of the Original Dead Space (2008) have likely already heard about the remake. While the original studio, Visceral Games, shut down, Motive Studios looks to revitalize the series.

Some of the featured changes beyond graphics include a rework of Issac Clark’s character. Remember now, Issac isn’t a warrior or a soldier; he’s an engineer and a mostly mute one in the original game.

Expect Issac to have more personality this time, as he’s had two other games to develop his character. Other changes include reworking his RIG suit and a new UI-integrated view of Issac’s equipment and status.

Not too much is listed for this release yet, aside from a couple of tidbits, but we’re still excited for the Resident Evil 4 Remake.

We have had one new trailer showing off a little bit of the story, but sadly that’s about it for now. The team members that handled the Resident Evil 2 Remake are working on this one, so we’re hoping this project turns out just as well.

Expect a re-imagining of the main storyline with new gameplay improvements, much like Resident Evil 2 and 3 Remakes.

Fans of little nightmares may find this next game interesting. Broken Veil tells the story of a boy searching for his mother during the collapse of the soviet union. The game’s protagonist is afflicted with Prosopagnosia (Face Blindless), meaning he cannot recognize and distinguish facial features. This creates a world of uncertainty where both friends and foes, as well as monsters and people, are identical. Use your wits, quick timing, and willpower to survive and conquer the trials that lie before you.
