There are a few steps that you need to follow in order to add discord voice chat to Streamlabs.
Step 1 – Set Up Your Desired Audio Sources in Discord
Open up your Discord and go to Settings > Voice & Video
Here you need to set your Input device which is your microphone, and the output device which is most likely your headphones.
The next thing what you have to do in the same window, is to change your Input mode to “Push to Talk”.
This will allow you to separate your comments and voice chat, and you can talk to your people n your comments and talk to people in your voice chat without getting everyone confused.
Step 2 – Select Your Audio Sources In Streamlabs
Open up your Streamlabs and go to Settings > Audio.
Desktop Audio Device 1 has to be set to “Default”, and Desktop Audio Device 2 should be changed to whatever your speakers are.
Step 3 – Adjusting Settings In Your Mixer
This part will give you some freedom with your audio. If you want to record both your party chat and your game audio, then leave your device on and mute your Desktop Audio. Or, if you want to mute your party, but still have game audio then mute your speakers and unmute your Desktop Audio.
This will allow you to have game chat and game audio, but no one of your party chat.
Now you will be able to see your input and output sources in your Streamlabs mixer where you can adjust the volumes of both here. These audio sources will get output to your viewers.
