Roblox and high ping are known to go together. But is high ping usually a problem with the actual game, well, it’s unlikely. It’s mainly due to poor connection, outdated network drivers, unstable connection, using third-party network software, and more. Basically, it usually comes down to player-specific issues, instead of issues with the actual servers themselves.
Nevertheless, these issues are mostly easily fixable!
Fix High Ping – Roblox 2022 Quick Fix
That’s the thing, in some cases it may just be a fluke and a server-related issue. But more than 90% of the time, it’s just some issue that you have on your system.

Here are some easy fixes for high ping, which we will elaborate further on below:
- Flushing DNS
- Switching to a wired connection
- Running Roblox as an administrator
- Updating your OS
Flush DNS
To flush the DNS on your system it’s very simple, especially on Windows machines. Open the Start menu and type in: “cmd”, right-click it and run it as an administrator.
Type in: “ipconfig /flushdns” ant hit Enter. It should take a second to execute the command. After which, you can try to launch Roblox and see if the issue is persistent.
Switch To A Wired Connection
It may sound trivial, but there are a lot of players that don’t want to go through the hassle of having a wired connection and prefer Wi-Fi. This has a lot of downsides, including, but not limited to, slower connection and a less stable connection.
So, if you experience any type of latency issue, this is the best troubleshooting step. Make sure to switch to a wired connection and see if that changes anything.
Run Roblox As An Administrator
In some cases, the game might not have the right administrative privileges to have a better access to the network. This is not strictly a Roblox issue, it can happen in almost any game.
Simply right-click Roblox and click “Run as administrator”. When a new confirmation window opens up, hit “Yes”.
Update Your Operating System
This is another trivial fix. For those that aren’t aware, software updates are very important for your system’s performance. In a lot of cases, they can even affect games.
Nevertheless, it’s a good idea to update your OS regularly either way. Just head over to the Start menu and look for “Windows Update”. In the new window, click “Check for updates” and update your system if necessary.
If none of the issues from above worked, it may be a server or a game issue. First, check Roblox server status and see if the servers are operational. If they are, the last resort is to try and reinstall the game completely.
