If you have an Oculus Quest and you’ve never played Gorilla Tag, play it. Download this free-to-play game play it now. While it may not look like much, Gorilla Tag is just playing tag as gorillas. Gorilla Tag is fast paced and involves a lot of climbing and swinging from branches to avoid getting tagged. Players will notice that the game does not offer different skins for gorillas. Modders have fortunately corrected that issue by doing it themselves. Here’s how you can make your Gorilla stand out from the rest.

Modding Gorilla Tag On The Oculus Quest

Before we start the modding process of turning your Gorilla into Iron Man or Donkey Kong, keep in mind of some things. Playing with gameplay affecting mods on in public matches will result in you getting banned.

Playing with these types of mods is only possible if you are hosting a private match or invited to one. Cosmetic mods are okay in both public and private.

To properly mod Gorilla Tag, you will need a PC or laptop and a USBC cable to connect your Oculus Quest to the computer. It doesn’t have to be a gaming rig or anything, as the modding process is simple.

There’s just no way to mod Gorilla Tag without the help of a PC or laptop.

You will also need developer mode active to mod the game. It’s easily doable and it won’t get you banned or anything.

To start, download the Quest Patcher application to your PC. Install said application to your PC and wait for the installation to complete.

Once Quest Patcher is installed, start the application and connect your Quest to your PC or laptop. In the headset, the Quest will ask you for permission to allow your PC to access the Quest. Click Allow.

The Quest will then ask you if you want to allow USB debugging, click OK.

Once everything is all set and done, you should get this on your screen.

Simply click on Patch my App and wait for the process to complete.
