Due to the current situation happening with Ukraine and Russia. There have been many protests all around the world. A giant percent of the world is against war, and against Russia invading Ukraine. The United States of America has sent threats over to Russia that it will sanction the country. With those sanctions comes an interesting topic that we will talk about today.
The gaming platform Playstation is famous all over the world and some interesting topics have come up since this war started, related to Playstation and Russia.
Is Playstation banned in Russia? What we know so far!
With a lot of threats being sent over to Russia and protests are still ongoing. Ukraine’s Prime Mykhailo Fedorov has requested Sony to ban Playstation in Russia. That will stop the Russian community from making transactions through the gaming platform.
The Ukrainian Prime Minister believes that this will lower the economic value of the Russian Ruble. As it is already dropped 30%+, all these plans and threats that Ukraine wishes for Russia can lead to a total economic crisis.
So far we have seen an official threat from Steam, which is a massive gaming platform for Russians.
So far there have not been any official actions taken from Playstation about banning anyone, but it is believed that if the war continues and protests are ongoing, some actions may be taken.
