It’s almost impressive that such a franchise hasn’t made a stand in the gaming industry yet, but that’s all about to change in the years to come.

In 2014, Keanu Reeves appeared on the big screen as John Wick, the deadliest underworld assassin who wants nothing more than to live a normal life. After being pulled in by obligations, he soon finds himself hunted which sets up the rest of the series. As what may or may not be the final chapter of the is being written, studios are working on a John Wick.
According to GameJolt, Lionsgate is behind the project using this IP to make its mark on the world of gaming. Although, this hasn’t been the first time that the character has appeared in gaming, with John Wick becoming an available skin in Fortnite in 2019.
The universe of John Wick has more layers than is readily apparent, but the story is quite straightforward, with a strong focus on action. After John Wick tries to leave his criminal life behind, his new life is disrupted by his old one. This leads him to go on a revenge-killing spree before he is officially brought back in by a favor he owes. As a result, he becomes the target of an entire network of assassins. At this point, John Wick is just trying to shut down the system that haunts him as this may be the only way he’ll ever find peace.
John Wick is one of the biggest action stars to appear in recent years, and will ultimately be stepping into his own game. With Keanu Reeves having gaming experience from Cyberpunk 2077 and Lionsgate trying to use their film magic, people may soon be able to play an official John Wick game.
