Judas From BioShock Creator Ken Levine Gets 2025 Release Date

While the BioShock games are not for everyone, one can’t deny the amount of visual effort that they bring to the table. Now the creator behind them has a new title called Judas, which is aiming to release in 2025. Though there’s still a decent amount of time before then, a lot has already been revealed about the game following its official announcement. At a glance, it looks like the creators are working with what they do best to work on Judas. However, a lot can happen between now and 2025, but let’s hope that development stays on track.

Judas Set To Appear In 2025

The dev team at Ghost Story Games rose to popularity with their visually stunning dystopian alt-history title BioShock in 2007. This paved the way for Bioshock 2 in 2010, BioShock Infinite in 2013, and apparently Judas in 2025. The game isn’t a total surprise as it was first revealed in the most recent Game Awards last December. According to Eurogamer, Judas is but one of 87 games that the publisher Take-Two will try to release between 2023 and 2025.

This, naturally, means the company has a lot on its plate. And while delays for some seem inevitable, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick feels confident about it all. He states” “I feel great about our upcoming schedule… the teams seem to be functioning really well and I’m optimistic.”

The BioShock series has a distinct feel and tone, being referred to as the spiritual successor to System Shock 2. This is understandable considering the similarities between the two: The games are first-person shooters following a protagonist against overwhelming odds. Not only do they need to rely on a heavy arsenal of firearms, but they also gain access to superhuman powers through the use of tonics and other scientific means. Based on the gameplay of Judas, it looks like a lot of the same elements are in play.

Ghost Story Games may not have been as active following the end of BioShock, but they are making a statement with their Judas announcement. By revealing a 2025 release for it, they’re showing determination and confidence in this new project.
