Does Kirby and the Forgotten Land Have Co-Op Multiplayer?
Yes, Kirby and the Forgotten Land does have co-op multiplayer. In fact, when you load up the game and complete the first few worlds, you’re then offered the chance to play with a friend.
After that, when you log into Kirby and the Forgotten Land, you’re given the option to play solo or in co-op. If you choose that setting, you and one other players can split the Switch Joycons to explore levels together. One of you plays as Kirby, while the other plays as a generic Waddle-Dee. They’re the inhabitants of the game’s hub world.
However, it should be noted that Kirby and Forgotten Land‘s co-op multiplayer is only available locally offline. Even if you have a Nintendo Switch Online membership, you can’t play online with a friend. As such, you’ll need to have a friend nearby, so you can play on the same display. On top of that, only one of you gets to use Kirby’s mouthful mode powers, so the other one is left to just attack enemies the normal way.
Nonetheless, playing Kirby and the Forgotten Land in co-op is still an experience worth trying. Getting to enjoy the platforming and charming battles with a co-op partner is great fun.
