Revealed by Nintendo today, Kirby’s Dream Buffet is a multiplayer party game similar to Fall Guys, and looks set to shake up the classic Kirby formula. When is the Kirby’s Dream Buffet Release Date?
Perhaps the most exciting part of Kirby’s Dream Buffet is that it is slated to release this summer. Nintendo tends not to delay games, meaning we should get our hands on it in the next few months. In fact, the game already has a page on the Nintendo eShop, so it should be close to ready.
Kirby’s Dream Buffet was surprisingly announced through a nonchalant tweet from Nintendo earlier today. The trailer shows off the co-op gameplay, where you and three other players race each other through colorful levels as Kirby and other characters. Throughout the courses are pieces of food, which you can consume to grow in size. At the end of a race all players are thrown onto a scale, with the heaviest racer winning.
The game looks similar in style to Fall Guys, with a focus on racing other players in competitive but charming locales. Rather than obstacle courses though, the onus in Kirby’s Dream Buffet is on racing various laps of courses. It’s unclear whether there will be any sort of single-player modes, or different playlists aside from just races, though.
Yes, there are still a lot of details we don’t know about this new Kirby game. That includes how much it’ll cost. However, it will likely be less than the full price tag of Kirby and the Forgotten Land. The good news is that we should learn even more very soon.
