Mail Delivery Game Lake Gets a September 2021 Release Date

Lake release date

Announced during the E3 2021 Wholesome Direct stream, the mail delivery game Lake will release on September 1, 2021 on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and Xbox Series X|S.

Players will take on the role of Meredith Weiss who leaves her life in the city to go back to her hometown of Providence Oaks, Oregon to become a mail carrier. Set in 1986, Meredith is feeling overwhelmed and needs to hit the reset button on life, so she trades her corporate job for a mail truck.

In Lake, players will get the chance to explore Providence Oaks, deliver mail, and meet and form relationships with the citizens of the town. As the trailer during the Wholesome Direct stream hints, some will take kindly to Meredith, while others will give her a hard time.

At first, Meredith only plans to spend two weeks in her hometown delivering mail, but as she gets to know the people of Providence Oaks and form relationships with them, she will have to decide if she wants to go back to the city or move back to her hometown.

While trying to make the decision, players will be able to drive all around town delivering mail or can let auto-pilot take control. During each delivery, you’ll be able to talk and interact with different characters to learn their stories, interests, and more. After your shift, you can even hang out with your new friends and form an even stronger relationship.

In Lake, players will be able to form their own story and make their own path, but they’ll only have two weeks to do it. Once the time is up, you’ll have to decide if you want to continue your life as a mail carrier, or return to your corporate job in the city.

You can find out for yourself when Lake releases on September 1, 2021.
