Laysara: Summit Kingdom | Is it available on MAC?

Laysara: Summit Kingdom is an indie city-building game that focuses on unique factors such as weather, climate, and environment. You get to start building your own city along mountainsides, adding an extra layer of twists and challenges.

It’s definitely a unique city-builder game from Quite OK Games that allows you to trade with neighboring cities and battle the challenges of weather. They claim that each mountain has its own unique set of resources that can be mined, harvested, or produced. This makes each city unique and specific depending on what mountainside you end up building on.

Laysara: Summit Kingdom is Quite OK Games’ debut title. It currently has no fixed release date but you can expect to get it sometime this year.

Will Laysara: Summit Kingdom be available on Mac?

Laysara: Summit Kingdom is still currently in development. Quite OK Games, the company behind the game was only formed at the beginning of 2021, this means that the game has only been in development for about a year.

The company that is developing Laysara: Summit Kingdom only consists of two main developers. A game of this scale and magnitude is hard enough to do with a fully dedicated team of developers, you can only imagine how hard it will be for two people.

Currently, it’s only confirmed for PC and can be added to your wishlist on Steam. It will definitely be great to have the game be available for PC, consoles, and macOS, but covering various platforms will require a lot of work from the developers.

Honestly, I feel like the game will be made available for mac and consoles if it becomes popular enough. Most indie games have a very tight and limited budget and will only cater to the largest audience first, AKA PC gamers. Just look at Stardew Valley, it first got released on PC but after it became incredibly successful slowly added support for more and more platforms.

Don’t lose hope yet, there’s still a chance that Laysara: Summit Kingdoms will support macOS devices. Unfortunately, it probably won’t happen on day one. In the meantime, you can always play other great city-builder games available on macOS like Cities Skylines and SimCity.
