Mounts are one of the many options players can use to explore the huge lands of Arkesia. These mounts are available in various sizes, colors, and forms and can be acquired by finishing different tasks, quests, or by purchasing them using real-world currency.

Getting your first mount in the game is pretty easy but it is a tough decision to make. This guide will tell you all the details you need to know about mounts in Lost Ark.

How to unlock a mount in Lost Ark

Unlocking your first is very easy and you can acquire it early in the game. Just follow the main storyline until you reach the Quest “Town Where Light Lingers”.

You will receive this quest after you finish the prologue of the game and reach the first major city. After you speak to Brother Alfael and finish the quest, the game will give you a choice of three mounts to select from

• Dyorika Brown Horse
• Loghill Black Horse
• Yudia White Horse

Once you select the mount of your choice, you need to register it in the inventory. To register the mount, go to the inventory window, look for the mount, and right-click on it. Your mount will now be available for you to use.

You can unlock more mounts as you make progress in the game by finishing main quests and side quests. Players also have the choice to purchase their mounts via Steam or Amazon using real-world currency. The Platinum Founders Pack available for $99.9 in the game shop will provide you with a Cerberus mount and some other cosmetic items.

How to maintain and ride mounts in Lost Ark?

As you make progress in the game, you will get the opportunity to acquire different types of mounts with each offering unique skills and functions. These mounts will be available in various sizes and colors however you cannot sell, exchange or destroy them.

Every mount obtained in the game will be permanently linked to your account and will be accessible through the game’s inventory. You can either receive a mount by completing different quests or purchase them.

Players can view all the mounts in their collection by pressing Ctrl+V to access the inventory in the game. You can select your preferred mount by going to the inventory and pressing right-click to ride on it. Another way to ride the mount is to scroll for the mount, drag it to the Quick Bar menu, and press the assigned key to start riding.

What are skills available for mounts in Lost Ark?

Each mount has different skills available which are unique to them. These skills vary from speed, flying, running, and to cool ones like talking, sunbathing, and releasing water.

Most of these mounts have a minimum of two skills usually depending on their rarity. There are few mounts that don’t have any skills at all. Each mount skill has a cooldown period before it can be used again by players.
