As you get to the mid-game of Lost Ark, you’ll learn just how massive the world is. Because of that, you might want to give your ship a bit of love! To do that, you’ll need Pirate Coins, the currency of sailing in Lost Ark. These coins are required if you want ship upgrades and customizations, both important for the newest captain on the sea. Whether you’re looking for style or efficiency, we can help you decide on the best places to sail!
How to Get Pirate Coins in Lost Ark
Pirate coins are rewards for completing tasks while sailing in Lost Ark. The largest number of Pirate Coins come from completing island quests scattered around the ocean of the world. Otherwise, you can gain Voyage Coins from completing Marine events that occur occasionally around the map. Trading in voyage coins will grant you pirate coins.
There are 11 islands currently accessible by boat in Lost Ark. Here are their rankings:
- Lullaby Island (16,500 Coins)
- Freedom Isle (15,000 Coins)
- Blackfang’s Den (10,000 Coins)
- Atropos (10,000 Coins)
- Cradle of the Sea Fermata (9,000 Coins)
- Kalthertz (8,600 Coins)
- Golden Wave Island (7,000 Coins)
- Sublime Island (6,000 Coins)
- Runaways Island (5,000 Coins)
- Peto And Glacier Island (5,000 Coins)
- Giant Mushroom Island (2,000 Coins)
Completing quests on these islands will reward you with an amount of coins. The numbers in parenthesis are the “caps,” or how much you will make from doing all of the quests there. Because of that, Lullaby Island is your best starting point. You can hit all of them, and you might if you want to upgrade your ship as much as possible.
Otherwise, you’ll be looking at Marine events. These are basically random quests that you can crash through for smaller rewards than the quests give. They also give minor alternative rewards that might be more interesting for people not just looking for pirate coins. Overall, though, you just have to farm those island quests!
