The Shadowhunter is an assassin subclass that deals a ton of damage. They prefer to beat and kill demons at their own game, using demonic forms to unleash devastating power. When their inner demon selves are unleashed, they get access to incredible power, increased health, and faster movement speed.
It can be intimidating to go on Chaos Dungeons and raids at first. To help you get that courage to defeat your enemies within these levels, we’ve created a Chaos dungeon and raid build guide, specifically for Shadowhunters.
Shadowhunter Raid and Dungeon Build Guide

First up, here’s a Demonic Impulse build that you can use for dungeons and raids when playing as a Shadowhunter.
Demonic Impulse Build for Dungeons and Raids
Demonic Impulse’s effect is that Composure State doesn’t trigger when Demonize ends. Upon Demonize, the Demonic Skill cooldown is reset as well. It also grants you up to a 30% additional crit rate while in Demon Form when your engraving levels are maxed.
Demonic Slash
This is a basic skill that you can immediately unlock. It’s a great mobility skill that can help when moving through zones and can be spammed quite often. It’s recommended to get this to four skill points so that you can unlock the Excellent Mobility tripod that extends the leap distance by two meters.
Demon’s Grip
Demon’s Grip is a good single target skill that pulls a single enemy towards you. It can be great if you want to focus on killing a single enemy first before the others. Take Quick Prep, Encroaching Power, and Giant Grasp as your main tripods.
Rising Claw
Rising Claw is a great gap closer and mobility move. It allows you to get closer to your enemies and launch them in the air. I suggest taking Naively Honest, Critical Blow, and Grasp of Death. These tripods grant you immunity to paralysis while charging, increase crit damage, and increase damage overall.
Demonic Vision
This move is one of the first ranged abilities that you can use. It also AOE and does some pretty decent damage to many foes. Just make sure to charge it before using it. I recommend using the tripods Quick Release, Darkness Release, and Overflowing Power.
Howl
Howl is a skill that you can unlock at level 40. It’s a great high damage AOE skill that allows you to easily clear large trash mobs. You’ll want to get this skill to level 10 as soon as you can to take advantage of it and make it better.
Thrust Impact
At level 16, you get to unlock Thrust Impact. This is a great skill that can be used as both an AOE or single target damage skill. It does loads of damage and can help with bosses and clearing mobs. Get this to level 10 as soon as you can, and you should prioritize this move over others.
Demonic Clone
Demonic Clone is another skill that you can get immediately. It has some relatively good damage but should only be leveled once you’ve finished leveling the others. I suggest getting this to level 7 when you can and leaving it at 7 until you can get your main damage skills to level 10.
Decimate
Decimate uses your demonic powers to summon giant demon arms and slash them forward to deal damage to foes. It’s best used with a Critical Blow and Cruel Hand tripod for maximum efficiency. This move deals a lot of damage and is an overall great AOE move.

Cruel Cutter can be unlocked at level 12. It’s a normal skill that offers both AOE and single target damage. It’s very useful when clearing large packs of mobs and can be used as one of your main damage skills to bosses. You should prioritize this skill and try to get it to level 10 as soon as you can.
Thrust Impact
Thrust Impact can be unlocked at level 16. It’s a skill that deals good damage and can be used as an AOE or single-target skill. It helps a lot when trash mobs get too overwhelming and should be prioritized to level up in the early game.

Sharpened Cut
Sharpened Cut can be unlocked at level 36. It’s a hybrid damage and mobility skill that can be used either way. It will mainly depend on your tripods and whether you’ll prioritize mobility or damage.
