Madden 23: How To Catch & User Catch
In order to catch manually or perform a user catch in Madden 22, you need to press Triangle on PlayStation, or Y on the Xbox when the ball is sent in the direction of the receiving player.
There might be more complex situations of catching, and the game is offering different ways to catch:
- Press the Square on PlayStation, or X on Xbox to Run after Catch.
- Press the Triangle on PlayStation, or Y on Xbox to perform Aggressive Catch.
- Press the X on PlayStation, or A on Xbox to perform Possession Catch.
To use the manual catch you have to be confident enough. This might take a bit of practice, but after you get a pro for performing manual catches, it will be always a better option to perform manual catches than the CPU to perform the catch.
