What movie mistake is so obvious that you’re surprised it made the final cut? For example, a plastic bottle in Little Women (2019) is visible in Laurie’s house. However, the movie was set in 1863. Oops! After polling the internet for more glorious mistakes, here are the top-voted answers.

1. The Bathtub Scene; Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990)

“In the original 1990 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film, you can see the actor inside Donatello’s costume. It’s the scene where Donatello and April catch Raphael and Leonardo embracing in the bathroom,” one shared.

“Yep. When I was a kid in the 90s, I had an old 14″ CRT TV in my room. Most of the movies I remember watching were on this screen. So I definitely wouldn’t notice anything,” another joked.

2. Training Time; The Matrix (1999)

“I remember watching The Matrix in the movies, and when Tank suggests combat training to Neo, he holds up the disk, and there’s a handwritten label that says Jujitsu 2.0 on it, which I thought was hilarious,” one explained.

“But, unfortunately, it was not visible on the VHS release or the DVD. Not sure if it’s legible in 4K or not.”

3. Shrimp; Ocean’s Eleven (2001)

Oceans 11 has one of those types of scenes,” one confirmed. “Brad Pitt is eating shrimp in one scene. He’s got a bowl, then a plate, then the bowl again.”

A second shared, “I recently read a trivia blurb on that–they did that scene so many times that Brad ended up eating 20-some shrimp.”

4. The Shortest Time Wins; The Cannonball Run (1981)

“In Cannonball Run, they spend 10 minutes explaining that the racers start at different times. The winner will be the one who completes the race in the shortest time, which is NOT necessarily the first team to finish. In the end, they ignore this and give the trophy to the first team to finish,” another pointed out.

5. Bumblebee Vs. Barricade; Transformers (2007)

“In the first Transformer movie, when the police car Transformer (Barricade) is first chasing Shia LeBeouf under the overpass, it’s mid-afternoon,” replied one. Then, within a couple of shots, it’s completely dark when Bumblebee and the police car start fighting in the industrial area.”

6. The First Episode; The Walking Dead (2010)

“In The Walking Dead‘s first episode, where Rick is riding the horse and turns the corner and finds a street full of walkers, you can see a walker drinking from a water bottle,” noted one.

“If you’re referring to the walker drinking water, the thirsty zombie in question is in the middle of the horde way in the back; it’s a blink, and you’ll miss it kinda thing, but it’s noticeable,” another confirmed.

7. Sinking Ice; Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (1964)

Someone shared “Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea.” One of the dangers they encounter is enormous chunks of ice coming down and hitting them. Ice floats.”

“Yep, that’s correct, the original release was just… Sinking ice,” another agreed. “I don’t know when they switched to having all the metal bits. Still, I remember seeing it because it was so unbelievably blatant. But, overall, it wasn’t a good movie, and my brother and I were mocking it so hard on the way out of the theatre.”

8. Fake Bookshelves; Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989)

Someone pointed out, “Harrison Ford was standing in front of fake bookshelves in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. It may be a minor thing, but it is obvious.”

“I would have never seen this on a VHS or DVD on a CRT TV. I know because I watched it god knows how many times on DVD on an old CRT (and on VHS before that), and this is the first I’ve seen it,” another confessed.

9. Sunrise on the Pyramid: The Mummy Returns (2001)

“In The Mummy Returns, Rick is carrying his son through the jungle to reach the pyramid before the sunrise hits the diamond at the top. The sunlight is hitting the ground first somehow instead of starting at the top, like a normal sunrise,” one replied.

10. Cloak of Invisibility Vs. Mirror; Harry Potter and the Sorceror’s Stone (2011)

“In the first Harry Potter movie, when Harry and Ron are in the room with the mirror, and Harry tosses the invisibility cloak off to one side, you can see the green side of the fabric they usually get rid of in editing,” replied one.

“I always noticed this as a kid but didn’t work out what it was until I was much older. Just thought the magic was green or something, I don’t know,” a final user commented.
