If you’ve been playing the latest Call of Duty for any length of time, you’re likely no stranger to a variety of bugs and error codes popping up from time to time. Lately, the Modern Warfare not getting XP bug has been preventing players from being able to earn XP for playing matches and completing challenges. So, why are you getting no XP for playing matches?
Modern Warfare Not Getting XP Bug | How to fix the error
It seems that a handful of players are experiencing the Modern Warfare no XP bug, and are not getting any rewards for playing matches. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem that any of the challenges are tracking at all, this includes daily challenges, camos, missions, and more.
We’re currently tracking an issue where XP is not being awarded after matches. Our teams are investigating and we’ll provide another update when we have more information. Thank you for your patience.

Thankfully, it seems that Infinity Ward is aware of the Modern Warfare not getting XP bug and is working hard to fix it. As seen in the tweet above, a team of devs is working on a fix and will provide more information when available. At the time of writing, that tweet is five hours old and there hasn’t been any kind of fix pushed out yet.
At the time of writing, it’s unclear if players will be awarded any of XP that wasn’t tracked. While it is possible it could be tracked somehow internally, it seems unlikely that you’ll be able to get that XP back.
Unfortunately, this means that there isn’t really anything that you can do to fix the Modern Warfare no XP bug right now. This means that uninstalling and reinstalling the game won’t work and will simply be a waste of your time. Right now, it seems that the best thing to do is wait it out and hope a fix is pushed out soon.
