You’ll forgive me for not having this on my bingo card, but we’re getting an open-world Lego-based racing game later this year.
LEGO 2K Drive was revealed today, welcoming players to the world of Bircklandia. The debut trailer showcases a mix of traversing through land, sea, and air.
Developed by Visual Concepts, the game promises a AAA racing experience combined with the magic of the LEGO universe. Additionally, the tile features a collaboration with McLaren Automotive to bring the McLaren Solus GT and McLaren F1 LM to the game.
This is the first game in a partnership between 2K Games and the LEGO group. Additional games will be announced in the future.
LEGO 2K Drive will release on May 19th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
The game will come in three editions, according to a press release:
- Standard Edition ($69.99 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, $59.99 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC)
