Team17 and Ghost Town Games have announced the release of the new Overcooked World Food Festival Update.

It is available now for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC and is completely free.

The three new level biomes are the Baked Bazaar, Metro Mash, and Pepper Plaza. Two new chefs will be available to tackle challenges in the kitchens. Globe and Fox are now available as playable characters and an alternate Goldfish skin.

Chicken Bobotie and Paneer Curry are two new dishes players can cook in the Overcooked World Food Festival update. They are a welcome addition amidst the game’s signature chaos, making it one of the best party games for a night in.

Finally, players will encounter a new mechanic: takeout. The new challenge will have players notice a delivery back is blocking their serving point. Place the required raw ingredient in the back, and a delivery person will pick it up and complete the order.

New accessibility modes are included with the Overcooked World Food Festival update. The assist mode is now better than ever. It allows players to skip levels that are a bit too tough. Don’t laugh, but this will happen to you. My wife and I have wanted to through our controllers when playing some of Overcooked’s challenging stages.

Players can increase order and level timers, recipe scores, and toggle order times on/off. If deaths are causing concerns, you can shorten player respawn timers. For those that burn cereal, you can make food harder to burn. You can even remove the ability to burn food entirely. Additional options help players experience the Overcooked World Food Festival to their liking.

Some bug fixes are coming as well. The patch notes are available on the Team17 website.

The Overcooked World Food Festival is available now for Overcooked! All You Can Eat. It is one of the best games you can play on Xbox Game Pass. The game is available for Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
