As you make your way through the Whispering Woods area in Paper Mario: The Origami King, you’ll come across a cabin that you won’t be able to enter because the owner isn’t home. Further, you won’t be able to find all of the hidden toads or treasure chests in the area until you figure out how to enter the Paper Mario: The Origami King Whispering Woods cabin.
Paper Mario: The Origami King | How to Enter the Cabin in Whispering Woods
While exploring Whispering Woods, you’ll come across a locked cabin that you won’t be able to access until the owner returns. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to enter the Paper Mario: The Origami King Whispering Woods cabin until later in the game during the purple streamer area. Specifically, you’ll need to use the Sea Chart while exploring the ocean and dive for a clam using the sub.
As you explore the area, there will be a Shy Guy who will give you a hint about the clam needed to enter the Whispering Woods cabin. You will find the clam in the C3 quadrant and once you find it, you can go back to Toad Camp in Whispering Woods and use a Flame Bird to light the fire and force the clam to open its mouth. When the clam opens its mouth, it’ll reveal the final missing Toad, who also happens to be the owner of the cabin. He will thank you for helping him get out of the clam and back home, and will allow you to come inside and find the final treasure.
Now, you’ll not only be able to find the final missing Toad, but you’ll also be able to grab the third treasure chest in Whispering Woods! All that said, if you’re not hunting collectibles, there really isn’t any reason to go back and enter the cabin. However, if you are a collectible hunter, then of course you’ll have to go back and check off your list so you can 100% Paper Mario: The Origami King.
