In recent years, PlayStation PC gaming has been expanding. Sony has jumped to porting some of the biggest and best PlayStation games to PC. Now, PlayStation seems to be looking into making that an even bigger part of their brand. Sony recently posted a job listing for a Senior Director in PC Planning and Strategy.

If anything, this points toward PlayStation PC Gaming becoming a more serious endeavor. The Senior Director would “be responsible for the strategy and commercial activity within Global Channel sales.” The hire would also be tasked with delivering “a single, optimized PC Sales growth and commercial plan to hub and territory teams.”

Sony’s first foray into the PC world came with its ports of one of the best open-world games, Horizon Zero Dawn, in August 2020. Sony followed it up with its release of Days Gone in May 2021. In January 2018’s God of War came to PC. Our review said the “PC port of God of War takes an already amazing game and makes it look and play better than ever before.”  Another PlayStation hit, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves, is due next year.

PlayStation PC gaming has more than paid off. God of War’s launch saw players coming out in droves. It was Sony’s biggest PC launch to date so far. Despite having a poor port with plenty of issues, Horizon Zero Dawn also proved itself on PC when upon its release. However, it did not rise to the level God of War reached.

Could we expect to see the simultaneous release of PlayStation’s biggest games on both PC and PlayStation with this new role? Let us know in the comments what games you’d love to see be the next title to join the PlayStation PC gaming family. Be sure to mention why it’s Spider-Man and its sequel, Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
