April is just now getting off the ground, and that means new games are coming to PlayStation Plus subscribers. Today is the first Tuesday of the month, and that means Sony is refreshing the PS Plus library with new free games. April 2022 has some great freebies in stock, so clear up some hard drive space for this trio of popular titles.

The free PlayStation Plus games for April 2022 include Hood: Outlaws and Legends, Spongebob: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated, and Slay the Spire.
Hood: Outlaws & Legends is the first of the free titles originally released by Sumo Digital in 2021. Inspired by Robin Hood, this multiplayer game sees teams compete to see which can steal the treasures first. You’ll also have to contend with AI-controlled guards and the seemingly invincible Sheriff who pursues you to the end. Pick the thief that best represents your play style and dive into the medieval heisting world.
Spongebob: Battle For Bikini Bottom Rehydrated returns you under the sea into the shoes of one of the most beloved sea creatures of all time. Recently remastered by the team at Purple Lamp, this game first launched on GameCube back in 2003. It’s a lighthearted and colorful 3D platformer that demands little and offers a lot in terms of fun and content.
Slay The Spire is the final member of the freebie trilogy, and it provides loads of replayability. As with many rogue-like games, you’re presented with an ever-changing environment and the seemingly impossible goal of reaching the end of it. In this case, the world is a tall spire reaching toward the heavens. Put simply, your goal is to reach the top. You’ll pick one of several adventurers, each with their own strengths and weaknesses to take on the challenge. But though strategy will help you survive, you’ll need to rely on Lady Luck to get the cards you want.
