Pokemon Sword and Shield Shiny Zeraora | How to Claim for Free

Pokemon Sword and Shield Shiny Zeraora

Over the past month, there has been a max raid event in Pokemon Sword and Shield in which players have been able to battle an uncatchable Zeraora, the mythical Generation 7 Pokemon. If players were able to collectively beat one million of these Zeraora raids across the month of June The Pokemon Company promised that all players who have either the free or paid version of the Pokemon Home app will be given a free shiny version of Zeraora. Here’s how to claim your free Pokemon Sword and Shield Shiny Zeraora.

How to Claim Shiny Zeraora for Free in Pokemon Sword and Shield

To claim your free Pokemon Sword and Shield Shiny Zeraora, all you need to do to receive the mystery gift is transfer a Pokemon to Home from Sword or Shield or vice versa at any point from June 17-July 6. If you do this, the Shiny Zeraora will appear in the mystery gift tab in the main menu of the mobile phone version of the Pokemon Home app.

The mystery gift in question is titled ‘’Victory over Zeraora (1)’’ and any players who actively partook in the Max Raids earlier this month will also receive a second gift (aptly named ‘’Victory over Zeraora (2)’’) which contains a cache of Amorite Ore, a rare item in Pokemon Sword and Shield’s Isle of Armor expansion which is used to pay for the Move Tutor to teach new moves to your Pokemon.

The good news for those that would like this shiny Pokemon is that the target has been met and as of June 30 and players can now access that free Shiny Zeraora via the Pokemon Home mobile app. If this is the first you’ve heard of this event then do not worry, as you did not have to partake in
the raids themselves in order to access this fantastically rare gift.

Shiny Pokemon are a rare variant of Pokemon which has a different color scheme to the regular Pokemon. Shiny Pokemon were first introduced in Pokemon’s second generation with the game’s Gold and Silver and perhaps the best known Shiny Pokemon, the red Gyarados, can be caught in the Lake of Rage.

Shiny Pokemon usually have a 1 in 4096 chance of appearing in Pokemon Sword and Shield, making them quite rare. The option to be given a free Pokemon Sword and Shield Shiny Zeraora is a rare opportunity and a great get for avid shiny hunters and casual Pokemon fans alike.
