PS Plus Free Games for February 2023 Include Destiny 2: Beyond Light and Evil Dead

While reports are stating that PlayStation Plus is shifting up its subscription service, plenty of bells and whistles remain. The biggest of which is that each tier of the subscription plan will still be bringing several free games each month. At the starting level, PS Plus Essential, subscribers will still receive three free games available on the first Tuesday of every month. However, this month is an exception, since technically FOUR GAMES will be up for grabs on February 7th. They’re more on the serious and competitive angle, but all are worth checking out just to see the HD visuals.

PlayStation Plus Free Games for February 2023

The PS Plus Essential freebies this month are Evil Dead: The Game, OlliOlli World, Mafia: Definitive Edition, and Destiny 2: Beyond Light.

Evil Dead: The Game

The Evil Dead series is a cult franchise that is still grabbing attention today. With its over-the-top gore and obsession with pop culture, it was only a matter of time before it became a TV show, and now an online game. The Evil Dead: The Game lets you play in the most modern depiction of the franchise universe. It’s a competitive team-based game where you can play as either one of the recognizable human heroes or as one of the twisted demons trying to kill them. Make use of all their different skills and gear in order to be the bloodiest most badass being in the game.

OlliOlli World

Skateboarding is a sport that some can call both rad and extreme, yet not all of us will have enough interest to pursue it. Thankfully, because of games, we don’t have to and we can live out our skateboarding fantasies from the comfort of our couches. A colorful entry to the genre is OlliOlli World, a game about skating out of this world. Taking place in somewhere called Radlandia, make or choose a skater who speaks to you and tears up the skate parks and environments with your sick moves. If you wipe out while trying to pull off a trick, at least it will look spectacular.

Mafia: Definitive Edition

There is a chance that there are more stories about the mafia than there are actual people in the mafia. Games are a big contributor to this which is obvious from Mafia: Definitive Edition. The Mafia series has been around since computers started to get the hang of rendering 3D people moving in 3D space. This version takes you back to the start, but with all new technical and graphical improvements. You’re starting out at the bottom of a mafia family with the goal of climbing up the ranks. Do jobs for your bosses and anything else you can to get a reputation, respect, and a whole lot of cash. Maybe crime does pay?

Destiny 2: Beyond Light

Bungie is making Destiny 2 bigger and better. While we wait for the release of the Lightfall expansion, we can experience the excitement of Beyond Light. The guardians are facing a tremendous threat and a loss of power to fight it. Their opponent is the enigmatic and unnerving being known as The Witness, who is able to manipulate incredible forces including the Darkness all for its own ends. Team up with your fellow guardians to take back to life and save what still remains.
