The dangerous world of Raft puts players in the middle of the ocean, forced to scavenge the waters for materials, and craft a home upon the debris they find. Many of the materials are required to progress the story, one of these items is the Explosive Powder.
How to Get Explosive Powder in Raft
There are a few different ways to get your hands on Explosive Powder in Raft. One of the best ways is to use the metal detector to find it in suitcases and hidden safes. It doesn’t always appear, but given time, you’ll be able to find it. However, the more surefire way to get your hands on this material is by crafting it.
To craft Explosive Powder, you’ll need to seek out one of the enemies in the game. The foe you seek is the Poison-Puffer, an enemy that can be found underwater. They’re most commonly found around large tropical islands, Caravan Island, Shipwreck Island, Plane Crash Island, and an island with a desert biome.
Upon killing the Poison-Puffer, you’ll be given Explosive Goo. This is the precursor to Explosive Powder. All you have to do with this material is take it to a smelter. Once you arrive, put the Explosive Goo into a smelter and watch as it turns into the powder you seek.
As for what this material is used for, there are plenty of uses. One of the uses is in the crafting recipe for Net Canisters. This is the ammo for the Net Launcher weapon, which will help you tame animals. The second thing explosive powder is used for is in Fireworks. They’re made for fun or to fight players and Seagulls.
Finally, the most important use is to progress the story. On Caravan Island, there’s a Rocket, and you need to fuel it. That fuel? You guessed it: Explosive Powder.
