With the arrival of the recent summer update for Red Dead Online, a bunch of new items, weapons, and content were added to the game. In addition to the new host of content, a new horse called the Gypsy Cob was also added for players to unlock in RDR2. That said, in this guide, we will explain everything players will need to do to unlock the RDR2 Gypsy Cob.
How to Get the Gypsy Cob Horse in Red Dead Redemption 2
The RDR2 Gypsy Cob is a reward for advancing through the ranks of the new Naturalist role, so if you want the horse you need to get the role first. To get the Naturalist role, you will need to spend 25 gold bars, then you will need to head to the Strawberry Welcome Center. Inside the center, you will need to find Harriett Davenport and she will explain how to become a Naturalist.
However, as we explained in our guide for the RDR2 Elephant Gun, it would probably be in your best interest to get the Outlaw Pass first. While the pass will cost40 gold, it will allow you to earn multiple rewards, including an additional 40 gold. So, it would be more cost effective to buy the Outlaw Pass first, then use the gold from that to get the Naturalist role.
Before you can get the Gypsy Cob horse, you will need to level the role a bit, which will allow you to get better versions of the trusty steed. These versions will all have different stats, with the lowest tier having moderate health and stamina, mid-tier having high health and above-average stamina, and the highest tier having both high health and stamina. Then after the horse is unlocked you can then find it under the role tab in the catalog to purchase it.
When you finish leveling up the Naturalist role, you’ll now have everything you need to get yourself an RDR2 Gypsy Cob horse. Before you go, be sure to check out some of our other guides listed down below.
Good luck!
