The new Sea of Thieves update has finally come, and it is wild! The Pirates of the Caribbean crossover is online, and it fits in quite well to the world that Rare established. From much-loved characters to new finds and a ton of familiar locations, this is an update for fans of the game, the movie franchise, or just of privateering in general! That being said, some of the sidequests can be surprisingly rough. If you’re looking for Captain Bones Special Recipe in Sea of Thieves, you are not alone. Our guide will help you out as you finish up this side quest.
Where to Find Captain Bones Special Recipe
Captain Bones Secret Recipe is in Sailor’s Grave, the same location as the rest of Poor Dougie. The recipe is the last step to Dougie’s quest: Head towards where there are two skeletons playing chess, and move the pully system (the same one used to get the Cursed Captain’s head). When you get there, move the panels so you can jump on them, around the middle. There will be a cave next to the panels that you can jump into. Look to the right when you’re in the cave to find the Recipe, which you can bring to the skeletons playing chess… After you light their candle with a lantern, of course.
Thankfully, this task is so close to the rest of the questline that you shouldn’t have to go too far. The hardest part is the hidden cave, which you can see if you look near the platforms next to the pully system. It’s not much more than a crack in the wall, but it’s clearly different from the cliff-face surrounding it.
Completing this aspect of the quest will lead you to the final step, which will require you to use Poor Dougie’s Medallion and use the Cursed Captain’s head on Captain Bones. Then, you get a ton of money and access to a few more quests to line your coffers with.
