Learning how to position your furniture or the objects you want to place in your household the way you want them to be is crucial to achieving that dream house you want for your sims – or perhaps even for you. To do just that, you’d need to master how to rotate objects in-game, this makes sure that everything falls right into place and is facing the way they are intended to face. It’s just a simple home design tactic, really.
Here is how you rotate objects freely in the Sims 4.
How to Rotate Objects Freely
You can easily rotate objects in the Sims 4 by highlighting them and right-clicking afterward. This will turn the highlighted object to one side by 45 degrees.

You can also press the ‘comma key’ and the ‘period key’ on your keyboard to do the same.
Keep in mind that doing this only lets you rotate your objects strictly on 45-degree marks – it does not allow you to rotate them anywhere in between.
To move objects more freely, you have to tweak first some of the game’s options. Head over to the Menu, ‘Game Options,’ and then ‘Game Camera.’

There you’d see the option to use the Sims 3 camera. Put a check on it and then hit apply changes.
Enabling this option now lets you rotate objects without being bound to any degree of movement.

Hold down the ‘Alt key’ on your keyboard and hold click on the object you want on the build mode. Drag your mouse to one side to rotate the object.
There you have it! Now you know how to rotate the objects in your home! This opens several options for you on how you want your home to look. Experiment with it and build the house of your dreams!
