Ready for some nostalgia fuel? The release date for Sonic Origins was revealed today by Sega. The remastered collection includes Sonic The Hedgehog 1, 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and Sonic CD. The collection is coming on June 23rd, Sonic’s birthday.

The reveal video features gameplay from all the games dispersed between animated sequences that’ll have you reaching for your favorite sugary cereal like they’re a Saturday morning cartoon.

Each game is fully remastered and will give you a choice to play as Sonic, Tales, or Knuckles. There will also be two game modes: Classic and Anniversary. Classic mode will be closest to what old school fans remember with finite lives and game-overs. Anniversary mode will display in full screen and gives you access to an infinite number of lives. If you’re a fan of those awesome water levels, you could drown as much as you’d like!

There will also be a variety of missions to tackle. You’ll be able to earn medallions by completing them. These can be spent to unlock new content from the vault, try special stages, and more. Additionally, there will be new animated shorts to watch featuring some of the most iconic characters in the series. For achievement experts, there will be plenty to unlock alongside new collectibles.

The Digital Deluxe edition comes with Hard Missions, Character Animation In The Main Menu, Camera Controls Over The Main Menu Islands, Character Animations During Music Islands, and additional music tracks.

Sonic Origins launches on Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and PC on June 23rd.
