If you want to splatter some serious paint in Splatoon 3, the Tricolor Turf War is a great place to start. Because the turf war game mode is a 4v2v2 battle, you’ll be defending from both sides if you’re on the four-player squad. If you’re on the two-player team, you’ll have to face off against six others. In either case, you’ll need to paint a lot of turf to come out on top. But you can get a competitive advantage with the Ultra Signal, which is why you should learn what it is and how to use it. So, keep on reading to find out!
How to Use the Ultra Signal in Splatoon 3
The Ultra Signal in Splatoon 3 appears as a rocket in the center stage of the Tricolor Turf War map. To secure it, you must touch it and charge it with ink power for a few seconds. Once activated, the Ultra Signal launches into the sky to communicate with a Deep Cut member. This Deep Cut member will represent the team that activated it, and will provide assistance with the Sprinkler of Doom to your team.
The Sprinkler of Doom gives you more ink power and automatically increases the team’s inked area. Any player who attempts to retake the Ultra Signal will get 300 Clout. Retaking it from another team grants your squad 2500 Clout. Both of these will contribute to your team’s overall score at the end of Splatfest. That’s why the Ultra Signal is a highly effective way of giving the teams in second and third place a chance to come back.
On the other hand, if you currently have the Ultra Signal under your command, you’ll want to stop opposing teams from taking it over. That’s entirely because of how effective it is at helping the losing teams take the lead. That’s why the Ultra Signal can be a game changer and a huge competitive edge in Tricolor Turf War. And if you want to start dominating matches, you’ll want to constantly be in control of or re-take it throughout the match.
