Stardew Valley Pale Ale | How to Get

Stardew Valley Pale Ale - How to Get

When ConcernedApe created the farming sim game Stardew Valley, no one knew what would happen. To this day, it remains one of the most popular and accessible sim games out there. A lot of this is due to the fact that it’s placed in the very relatable fantasy of wanting to leave the daily grind of city life behind in order to pursue a more relaxing but still productive life in the countryside. You start off as the inheritor of your grandfather’s farm and it’s up to you how you want to spend your time. You can farm, raise animals, go adventuring, or make specialty goods like Pale Ale.

How to Get Pale Ale in Stardew Valley

Artisan goods are some of the hardest to manufacture in Stardew Valley, but they’re also among the most valuable.. All forms of alcohol are Artisan Goods and Pale Ale is one of them. Like its namesake, Pale Ale is an ale that you can make on your farm or purchase in town. It comes from the crop Hops which can only grow in Summer.

Among the alcoholic beverages, Pale Ale is worth the time and investment for its value. It’s limited in terms of practical use; drinking gives you the Tipsy debuff, which reduces your Speed by one point. It does recover your energy and health by an acceptable amount. Still, it’s better to simply sell it and buy better consumables for exploration.

Pale Ale requires a fair amount of time and effort so you’ll need to be patient. To start off, you’ll need to unlock the Keg first. In order to craft a Keg, you’ll need to get your Farming skill to Level 8. As soon as you wake up in the morning, water all your plants, harvest whatever crops you can, and plant new seeds to raise your Farming as fast as possible. After you get access to the Keg, you’ll have to build as many as you can. Each Keg requires 30 pieces of Wood, a Silver Bar, a Copper Bar, and an Oak Resin. Set up as many Tappers and Furnaces as possible to have a steady stream of Bars and Resin.

Next, you’ll need to grow lots of Hops. You can buy seeds at Harvey’s Shop and then plant them during Summer. On their own, they take up to 11 days to fully grow, so have some Speed-Gro handy to shave a few days off. You’ll have to rely on Summer for your Hops until you unlock the Greenhouse which will let you grow them no matter year-round. You can get the Greenhouse by either completing the Pantry Bundles at the Community Center or by buying it from the Joja Community Development Form for 35,000g.

Once you have your Hops and your Kegs, you can start brewing. Each Keg can only hold one bushel of Hops at a time resulting in one serving of Pale Ale. Brewing can take between 1 and 2 days, so it’s best to have as many going at once and then reap the production all at once.
