The incredible amount of weapons in Terraria means there’s something for any kind of build you can imagine. Some weapons can even be upgraded into new weapons if you have the right materials. However, there’s one weapon that’s purpose is larger than any other weapon in the game. We speak of the Enchanted Sword. But how can you get one of your own? This guide will provide all the details you need.
How to Get the Enchanted Sword in Terraria
The Enchanted Sword is a pre-Hardmode melee weapon that has a special ability, just like the Seedler. It shoots out beams of energy where the pointer is, allowing for ranged combat with the sword. You can also head over to the goblin tinkerer and change the modifier to Legendary.
Finding the sword is simple. To start, you’re going to want to head down underground, as the sword can spawn randomly as a “Enchanted Sword in the Stone” background block. Finding this block will give you the sword. However, you can also find the blade in Enchanted Sword Shrines. The shrines are found in small caves below the surface. Sometimes they’ll have narrow shafts from the top that can be used for easy access. Their locations are random, but they’re most common in stone and Dirt Terrains.
Once you break the background block, you’ll receive the sword. It can also be found in gold and titanium chests. Just keep in mind that it only has a 1/50 spawn rate from these chests. Where you go first to find the sword is up to you, since Gold chests spawn all the time in Terraria, especially in the dungeon which can be accessed after defeating Skeletron.
As for what you can use the sword for, you’ll want to hang onto it even after defeating Moon-Lord. This weapon is one of the key components to crafting the Zenith. It’s one of the most powerful swords in the game, made up of a number of swords found from the beginning of your Terraria adventure.
