Staying alive and healthy is key to survival in Terraria. Some enemies in the game don’t want that for you, though. To make your demise easier, they’ll inflict debuffs. These cause all kinds of nasty effects, and generally help you toward a quicker death. However, items such as Vitamins can make you immune to these debuffs. Here’s how to get your hands on some.
How to Get Vitamins in Terraria
Vitamins in Terraria will make you immune to the Weakness debuff. They’re not consumable, meaning they’re an accessory you’ll put into your accessory slot. The weakness debuff will drop your physical ability, which is bad for melee-focused players. However, vitamins will prevent that from happening.
If you’re looking to get your hands on some Vitamins, you’ll need to go to the Corruption or the Crimson Biome. Once you’re there, be on the lookout for the Corruptor, or the Floaty Gross. Both of these enemies are the only ones who have the capability to drop Vitamins for the player. Their drop rate is 1/100 or 1%. So, getting them is going to be a bit of a task. However, once they drop, you can put them in your accessory slot, and reap the benefits of never becoming weak again.
However, if you want, The Vitamins can be combined with other items, to negate almost every debuff in the game. If you combine the Vitamins with the Armor polish, you’ll get the Armor Bracing. This item negates the Broken armor and Weak Debuff. If you combine the Armor Bracing with the Medicated Bandage, The Plan, Countercurse Mantra, and Blindfold. You can gain access to the Ankh Charm. This item will only take up one accessory slot and will negate these debuffs. Bleeding, Broken Armor, Confused, Darkness Cursed, Poisoned, Silenced, Slow, and Weak.
However, if you combine the charm with an obsidian shield, you get the Ankh Sheild. This item will now negate the “Chilled” Debuff on your character, as well as give you an extra four Defense on your character, making it a must-have item for survival in your Terraria adventure.
