As great as social media is, you can say it’s caused much more trouble than it’s worth. The birth of the internet in the 90s and early 2000s is pretty great, though.
6 – Classic Video Games
Gaming today often feels like a chore. You have to pay more money than ever before, plus additional money to unlock all the features while devoting dozens of hours that you don’t have.
Back in the day, however, all we needed to be happy was GoldenEye 007 on the Nintendo 64. Ah, the good ol’ days.
7 – Not Having To Pay Bills
Worrying about money and stressing out while working a job we hate? No thanks; one of the best parts about being a kid was not having any financial stress. All we had was our allowance, and it was more than enough.
8 – Opening Presents Christmas Morning
Look, Christmas is still great as an adult. When you’re a child, though, this is the one chance you have to get the gifts you truly want but can’t afford. You were off from school for a whole week. It was a magical time.
9 – Innocence
One adult points out that when you’re a child, you have a certain innocence that fades over time. Eventually, you wonder if certain people are bad before realizing that, yes, a large number of people are selfish and immoral.
But Being An Adult Isn’t All Bad
As great as the innocence of our youth is, when you’re an adult, you have the freedom and ability to see the world, travel, and treat yourself. You have the money to afford those dream vacations, and you don’t have to wait until Christmas morning to get the items you’ve been waiting all year for.
