The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD brought back the annoying giant spiders from the Skyview Temple. They have a weak spot, but making them reveal it requires a specific strategy. Luckily, you came to the right place. We’re about to teach you how to defeat Skulltulas the easy way.
How to Kill Giant Spiders in Skyward Sword HD
To kill the Skulltula spiders in Skyward Sword, you need to strike the weak spot on their underbellies. This requires you to slash them a specific way in order to get them to flip or spin around. However, making these giant spiders reveal their weak spot is where things get a bit tricky.
The weak spots flow, making it easy for you to know where to hit. However, in order to get them exposed, you need to strike them in specific ways that will make them vulnerable. If a spider is hanging on a web string, you have to perform a horizontal slash to make them spin. That should expose their weak spot, making you able to thrust your sword into it and properly hurt the Skulltula. However, sometimes you can’t reach the weak spot with a thrust attack. It is okay, though. If a thrust attack doesn’t work, a Skyward Strike certainly will.
But what about the giant spiders that are not hanging from the ceiling? Well, in that case you must do something else entirely. To flip the crawling spiders and expose their weak spot, you must do an upward slash. The attack should knock up the giant spider, making it land on its back and exposing the weak spot. Once you manage to do it, finish it off. You can kill the exposed Skulltula by locking on it and performing a fatal blow.
These tips should be more than enough for you to make your way through the Skyview Temple. All the Skulltulas in the game can be easily defeated if you follow these steps. So, now that you know what to do, I’m sure you won’t find them as troubling anymore. For more guides on The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD, check the links below:
