The strategic action of Warcraft 3 returns in Warcraft 3: Reforged. Slated for release this January, the latest RTS game from Blizzard couples together both Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos and Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne. Best of all, the Warcraft 3: Reforged release date is right around the corner.
Warcraft 3: Reforged Release Date | When does Reforged release?
Warcraft 3: Reforged will release for Windows and Mac PCs on January 28, 2020 at 3 p.m. Pacific time. This will be the full release, of course — dedicated fans will remember that the game was made available in beta form shortly after its announcement at Blizzcon 2018.
For those who haven’t heard, Reforged is a remake of the classic Warcraft 3 RTS that was originally released in July of 2002. The story follows some of the darker parts of Azeroth’s history, at a time shortly before the arrival of the Burning Legion. Reforged also includes a reworked version of The Frozen Throne expansion, which released just under a year after the base game and picks up right where the original Warcraft 3 story left off.
As might be expected, Warcraft 3: Reforged includes freshly tweaked graphics, rebalanced online gameplay, social media sharing-related features, and more. It will even include an option to use the classic game graphics, perfect for players who just want to dive back into the glory days of early-2000s real-time strategy.
With the Warcraft 3: Reforged release date just a few days away, the game is available for preorder now, and players who opt for the Spoils of War Edition will earn a few extra goodies. These include the Champion of the Horde Thrall skin, Daughter of the Seas Proudmoore skin, Fallen King Arthas skin, and Emerald Nightmare Cenarius skin. The Spoils of War Edition also includes bonuses for Overwatch, Diablo 3, Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, StarCraft: Remastered, StarCraft 2, and, of course, World of Warcraft.
Be on the lookout for the release of Warcraft 3: Reforged for PC on January 28, 2020.
