WATCH: From Software Drops Clip of a Full Boss Fight From Elden Ring

Elden Ring is, quite possibly, the most anticipated game being released in 2022. The collaboration between Game of Thrones creator George R.R. Martin and Souls creator Hidetaka Miyazaki has fans salivating.

And while gamers have to wait until February 25, 2022 to get their hands on the title, From Software has been giving them some sneak peaks. Today, the developer dropped a clip of a full 3 minute boss fight.

The boss in the clip is named Margit the Fell. The player encounters his challenge on a bridge in the middle of a castle. Margit is massive, nearly twice the size of the player. He also features long horns on his head and a whip-like tail.

Against the player, the Fell wields a gigantic wooden staff. He is also able to swing a magical sword and use other items in the fight. About halfway through the battle, Margit is able to call for a hammer that looks similar to that of the Mighty Thor.

The player opposing Margit doesn’t have quite the same firepower at his disposal. He wields a double sided sword, which is similar to the one used by Darth Maul in the Star Wars series. The player is also in possession of a small shield which is used to parry attacks from the Fell.

At the end of the clip, the player is able to defeat the boss and a tag comes up which reads, “GREAT FOE VANQUISHED!”
