WATCH: Players Who Go Out of Bounds in Elden Ring Are Encountering a Massive Bear Monster

Gamers are extremely psyched for Elden Ring, the title created in collaboration between George R.R. Martin and Hidetaka Miyazaki. And most of them will have to wait for the official release of the game on February 25th, 2022.

Some very lucky users, though, are getting to play the game a bit early. They don’t have access to the full game, of course, just what FromSoftware wants them to see at the moment.

Despite their good fortune, some of these gamers wanted to go outside the bounds of where they are currently allowed to play. And now developers have snuck in a bit of a surprise for them.

Initially there was a wall of light that blocked off forbidden areas. But there were some users who were able to figure out how to breach the barriers that were set up for them by the game makers. And this allowed them to get a birds eye view of content that wasn’t ready to be seen yet.

Acting fast, FromSoftware now has a rampaging bear who attacks those gamers who choose to not follow directions.

Interestingly enough, bears play an important role in Martin’s legendary Game of Thrones series. In one of the most stirring scenes in the book and show, one-handed Jaime Lannister jumps into a bear pit to rescue Lady Breanne of Tarth. And, of course, many of the character in the show enjoy singing The Bear and the Maiden Fair.
