In an interview with Game Informer, director Hiroshi Takai and producer Naoki Yoshida from Creative Business Unit III discussed the possibility of future expansions to the upcoming game.

The studio has been working on the MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV and the upcoming single-player entry Final Fantasy XVI.
