This week I played a heady mix of cute adventures, beautiful puzzlers, and momentum-based rollers. In fact, all of this week’s entries are different style puzzle games; one of these was even a full game that I had time to play! It’s a Valentine’s miracle. In the beginning, you can only roll around as a little ball doing short jumps from platform to platform and collecting coins along the way. Each level teaches a new helpful mechanic for Glyph as the tutorial progresses, gradually introducing the double jump, smash, and gliding abilities.

OGU AND THE SECRET FOREST – DEMO

Multiple Blue Rings

This cute and cozy adventure game from Moonlab Studios and Sinkhole Studios is deceptive. At first glance, it’s a cute Zelda-like adventure with an adorable protagonist and some light puzzles. On a second look, it’s weird. So weird.

There’s also a strange backdrop of some mystical power with statues and glowing doo-dads all over the landscape. When you meet the little artist dog, he will give you art supplies which allow you to stop at certain points and draw landmarks.

PLANET OF LANA – DEMO Coming from developer Wishfully, Planet of Lana is a beautiful side-scrolling puzzle game reminiscent of Limbo and Inside.

Multiple Blue Rings

You must jump, climb and sneak through the countryside and ruins as the danger increases. Your cat companion isn’t the only inky black void creature around, and many of these pitch-black monsters are not friendly.
