“I think we can say for certain that we can never say never,” Sean Escayg, creative director for Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, told Games Radar last year.
“Yeah. Uncharted is a franchise we love – that the studio loves. I love, and Kurt loves. It’s a world we want to see more of. So I can certainly say that.”
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End was released in 2016 for the PlayStation 4. It serves as a send-off for protagonist Nathan Drake. A spin-off, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, was released a year later.
Developer Naughty Dog has been focused on The Last of Us franchise after the original Uncharted trilogy. Currently, they are working on an untitled Last of Us multiplayer game while also porting The Last of Us Part I to PC and PlayStation 5.
