During gameplay, players will unlock packs of cards varying in rarity. These cards will have players, cosmetic items, and mods you use after every play during the game.
Some of these mods can control what the opposing team can do during their next play, but more interestingly, many can cause absolute chaos on the football field. These might look like becoming a giant and ripping your way down the field.
