EA’s newest and most recent Star Wars game Squadrons sets out to provide players with a new multiplayer X-wing commander like experience. Since it’s being published by EA, some players are wondering if Star Wars Squadrons on EA Access? Let’s take a look.
Is Star Wars Squadrons on EA Access?
Yes, Star Wars Squadrons is on EA Access as of October 2, 2020. Players with the Origin Access Basic membership can try Squadrons for free for up to ten hours and will receive 10% off for the full game. Additionally, Origin Access Premier members can also get the game for free through the service.
That said, now that you know the game is on EA Access, let’s go over what exactly there is to do in the game. To start, Star Wars Squadrons offers players two multiplayer modes, Dogfights and Fleet Battles. Along with this, the game offers up an interesting story campaign that revolves around the New Republic’s Vanguard Squadron and the Empire’s Titan Squadron.
In the multiplayer modes, players will fight either in 5v5 PVP battles where players on two teams fight to the death to reach 30 kills before the other team or in Massive fleet battles. These are the game’s biggest attraction and are multi-stage battles where each team has the goal of destroying the other’s fleet. These battles will have players engaging in fast pace dog fights while also launching assaults on larger ships to complete various objectives.
Now in the story campaign, players will experience a dual narrative that tries to show both sides of the galactic conflict between the New Republic and the Empire. The story will focus on the various pilots and crew members of both factions. Additionally, players will get time before missions to meet and talk to various characters throughout the game. If you are interested in learning more you find the game both on Steam and Epic Games, as well as EA Access.
