WWE2k22 is finally here and many players are excited to play the game as their favourite wrestlers. But not many people are aware that the game also features an option that lets you create your wrestler complete with your own photo or selfie that you can add to the game. So in this guide, we will tell you all the steps to create a wrestler with your own face in the game.
In order to get started with this process, first, you will require a photo of yourself with good lighting in front of the camera. Now you need to edit this photo with a photo editor on a computer. Just download a tool like Paint.net and its Smudge plugin.
Now carefully cut the face of your wrestler but don’t include the ears, neck or hair. Create a new file with dimensions of 512 x 512 pixels and delete its background. Copy the image of your face and paste it here. The background of your image will now be transparent, this is to ensure your wrestler doesn’t have any weird face texture issues.
If there is any discolouration on the face due to the lighting then use the smudge tool to spread the colour all across the face. Don’t use it on the cheeks and the chin. Now save the file as PNG once you are done.
How To Put Your Face In Game
Next head over to the WWE 2k22 website to upload your photo. Login to your 2K accounts using the correct credentials and press the Upload Images button. You will notice that are many different upload options but for faces, you will need to stick to the 512 x 512 option.
After uploading the image, open WWE 2K22 and go to the following option:
Online->Community Creations->Image Manager->Incoming.
You will be able to download the photo you have uploaded and it will be visible in the Local tab. If the image doesn’t appear or if the game crashes then just check the incoming tab again. This is a known issue with WWE 2K22.
Now it’s time to create a custom character since you have uploaded the face of your choice. To create a custom WWE superstar, just follow these steps :
Creations-> Superstar->New Custom Superstar
Customize your character by selecting its traits such as weight class, archetypes and persona. Choose the options that suit the overall personality and strength of your character/
Now it’s time to add the face to your custom character. Just follow these steps:
Face->Face photo->Downloaded
Make sure that the face matches the rest of the character in the Create a Wrestler menu.In order to have the best results, try aligning the mouths and lips of your character first. You can then proceed to adjust the eyes, eyebrows and nose later. The colour picker option will also allow you to match the skin of your face with the rest of the character so you don’t have to worry about it.
You can then adjust other features such as hairstyle, scars, beard, attire etc. That’s it, you have successfully created a custom character in WWE 2K22. Now go ahead and defeat your opponents in the arena!
