Microsoft and NVIDIA have announced today that GeForce NOW members can stream Gears 5 from today, with further titles to follow. Additionally, on May 25, Deathloop, Grounded, and Pentiment will be available, and both companies have said that this is just the beginning.
As part of the statement released, Microsoft stated, “This is just the beginning stage of our forward-thinking 10-year partnership with NVIDIA to make PC games from Xbox Game Studios and Bethesda available to their GeForce NOW members.” The idea behind the service is to allow players to choose when, where, and on what platform they play games.
When it comes to future plans for the service, the company said, “Members will be able to stream PC hits from Xbox Game Studios and Bethesda purchased through Steam or Epic Games Store (for eligible games) on PC, Mac, SHIELD TV, and Android devices – or by visiting play.geforcenow.com on Chromebook and iOS Safari. Our teams are also working to bring support for games purchased through the Microsoft Store in the coming months.”
Any updates on releases in the future will be announced via GFN Thursday updates. Microsoft also announced that they plan to collaborate with Boosteroid, Ubitus, EE, and Nware to widen the accessibility of their games, games from Bethesda, and future releases from Activision Blizzard, providing the acquisition deal closes.
