Zelda: Skyward Sword HD Where to Find the Baby Rattle Guide

The missing baby rattle can be found buried within a nest by the big waterfall in town. For this particular quest, you’ll need both the Clawshots and Gust Bellows. After speaking with Bertie at his house, located on the east of the island, head over to the windmill in Skyloft. Look upward at the floating islands and clutch them with your Clawshots to begin climbing the vines. Continue until you reach the waterfall, then leap from above to land onto a nest ahead of you. Finally, utilize your Gust Bellows to blow away the sand that’s covering up the baby rattle.

If you have trust issues with blind leaps of faith, you can actually speak with a Sheikah Stone to reassure you. This helpful talking stone can be found at the top of the waterfall, right where you’re supposed to jump. Whip out your Goddess Harp to play a tune, thus permitting the Sheikah Stone to rise from the group. After some brief chatter, the Sheikah Stone will tell Link: “Hey, if you tried to dive off the ledge here, I bet you could land in the nest on top of the tower down there. But what do I know? I’m a stone.”

Once the missing baby rattle is in your possession, return to Bertie at night time (he’s too busy mixing potions at the Shop). The baby is still giving Bertie a hard time, but the tears quickly subside at the sight of the rattle. Talking with Bertie will not only conclude the side quest, but you’ll also be reward with five Gratitude Crystals for your adventurous efforts.

This quest is vital for completionists who seek to collect all 80 Gratitude Crystals. Five may not sound worthwhile, but the Missing Baby Rattle side quest can be done within a short period; it would make sense to get this one done and over with to calm the sleepless baby.
