Video game collecting, like one may collect comic books or trading cards, has become very popular over the last few years. Collectors, fueled on nostalgia are buying up graded and unused copies of games like Super Mario Bros. or The Legend of Zelda.

Leroy Patterson, a pro wrestler who bills himself as “The Human Tackboard,” is collecting games in a very different way. He is buying as many copies of Burger King’s Xbox video game Sneak King that he can get his hands on.

Back in 2006, Burger King had a hit ad campaign on their hands with their King commercials. In the spots, a person dressed up as a creepy Burger King-style King would pop up in odd scenes.

The campaign was so popular that Xbox and the fast-food chain collaborated on a video game. Diners who were eating at the restaurant could purchase the game for $4. It was a hit with 3 different games selling 2.7 million copies.

Patterson initially planned on getting the 3 original titles, Sneak King, PocketBike Racer, and Big Bumpin’. But when he found 50 copies of Sneak King, he decided to keep going. Not only has he continued to search for copies, but Patterson has also made a YouTube series out of the hunt.

In a recent episode, the wrestler landed 1,000 copies of the game from a collector. His total is now up to 2,706 games and there is nothing stopping Patterson from going for more.
