Diablo 4 Beta Launches Next Month

Online components are becoming almost a necessity in games. After all, all the biggest names seem to have some sort of online elements. Then there’s Diablo 4, which is preparing to open the doors to its beta next month. This will be the next entry in the series of one of Blizzard’s most prolific and successful IPs. Even though it follows closely after the release of Diablo Immortal, players are no doubt looking forward to a more concrete experience this go around. With visuals and narrative having been revealed, many are curious as to how it will be different from Diablo 3. Well, good news: The time is near. Here are the details.

Preparing the Diablo 4 Beta

When the PC was starting to earn a reputation as a serious gaming platform, it was titles like 1996’s Diablo that took advantage. In fact, the game arguably helped build Blizzard into the powerhouse that it is toda. The series branched off to Diablo 2 in 2000, Diablo 3 in 2012, and Diablo Immortal in 2022. Now, the series officially continues with Diablo 4, with its beta set up to become available for play in March.

According to a report from IGN, the open periods will occur between March 17-19 and 24-26. It will also be the first time in the main series that players will be able to create a custom character rather than a preset class.

The Diablo series is what started the joke that PC RPGs are all about clicking. However, that doesn’t mean they aren’t enjoyable or engaging. The story behind the series follows the idea that forces of Hell, led by numerous demons including the eponymous Diablo, are attempting to break free and take over the world. Players typically take on the role of a hero aiming to stop said demons before their power grows too great. Diablo has caused a lot of damage in the past, even succeeding in invading and conquering Heaven — so who knows what he’s up to this time?

Diablo 4 was gaining traction even before it was officially announced. Even better, it looks like development is further along than fans have expected. With its beta launching in March, fans and other curious players will get to see what it has in the works.
